The 2016 community celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day ended on a high note for the hundreds in attendance at the Lory Student Center North Ballroom, thanks to CSU sophomore Arisson Stanfield.

Stanfield, who is studying philosophy, delivered a powerful performance of original spoken word poetry in honor of Dr. King.

The performance earned him enthusiastic applause and a standing ovation.
