CSU Chair and Professor of Economics Elissa Braunstein has been appointed to serve as vice chair of the Economic Recovery and Relief Cash Fund Subpanel created by the Colorado Legislature. The subpanel was created to guide Colorado’s spending of $700 million in federal relief funds remaining from the American Rescue Plan Act.
Savanah Overturf, who is pursuing a major in communication studies with a minor in creative writing, was crowned National Miss Amazing earlier this month. The pageant highlights women and girls with unique abilities, and teaches leadership and advocacy skills. More than 270 people competed this year.
A team of four Colorado State University students have been named the winners in an international competition designed to offer solutions to countries grappling with natural disasters and the supply chain issues that ensue. Impact MBA students and political science Ph.D. student Julia Choolwe Munsaka were on the winning team.
Students from all majors can take Journalism and Media Communication's audio production class, which uses local bands to demonstrate the best ways to record sound.
Kristina Quynn takes an innovative approach as she inspires researchers, scholars and creative professionals from many disciplines to write for success. Now, in her new position as the assistant dean of the Graduate School, Quynn leverages these strengths to lead both writing support and professional development initiatives offered by the Colorado State University Graduate School.

Giving Highlight
The Gregory Allicar Museum of Art (GAMA) celebrates recent donations of modern and contemporary photography to the museum’s permanent collection in Widening the Lens: New Gifts of Photography.
“The recent gifts given by this extraordinarily generous group of donors are truly transformative for the museum’s holdings,” said GAMA Director and Chief Curator Lynn Boland. “This exhibition will be the first of many to draw on this collection of world-class photographs.”
